News - Valheim : Großes Ashlands-Update bringt Endgame-Biom & mehr

Der Survival-Titel Valheim hat das heiß erwartete Ashlands-Update endlich erhalten. Dieses bringt unter anderem ein neues Endgame-Biom, darüber hinaus aber noch viel mehr mit sich.

Spieler von Valheim können sich nun endlich das lange herbeigesehnte Ashlands-Update für den Survival-Titel holen. Es handelt sich dabei um eine der bislang größten Erweiterungen für das Spiel, das unter anderem ein neues Biom für Endgame-Spieler, neue Waffen, Bauoptionen, Crafting-Optionen und mehr mit sich bringt.

Valheim war 2021 im Early Access erschienen und avancierte schnell zu einem Überraschungserfolg. Der Titel des Entwicklerstudios Iron Gate Studios ist von nordischen Themen inspiriert und verkaufte sich über 12 Millionen Mal auf Steam. 2023 kam der Titel dann auch in den Xbox Game Pass und zog noch mehr Gamer an. Durch größere Updates gibt wird das Spiel bis dato immer umfangreicher und bewegt sich stetig in Richtung Release der Vollversion 1.0, welche bisher aber noch keinen Termin hat.

Für den Augenblick dürften Spieler des Survival-Titels aber jetzt ohnehin mit dem Ashlands-Update gut versorgt sein.  Über 30 neue Waffen, drei Rüstungs-Sets, zwei Capes, über 70 herstellbare Gegenstände, mehr als 30 Crafting-Materialien, neue Musik, Events, Mechaniken und mehr sind enthalten - und natürlich auch diverse Bugfixes.

Im Fokus steht aber besonders das neue Ashlands-Biom, das ihr im südlichen Bereich der Karte findet. Dort erwarten euch reichlich Lava, große Festungen und gefährliche untote Kreaturen namens Charred. Zu den neuen Gegnerarten zählen der Falken Valkyrie, verschiedene Charred-Gegner, Morgen, Askvin Calf und mehr. Mit Fader gilt es auch einen neuen Bossgegner zu bezwingen. Und: Mit Belagerungsmaschinen gibt es auch neue Mechaniken passend zu dieser Region.

New Mechanics

• Beware the skies! Cinders rain down from above in the Ashlands, causing damage to those who are unprotected
• Wooden build pieces can now catch fire in the Ashlands – and the fire spreads!
• A new world modifier that allows fire to spread outside of the Ashlands as well (part of the immersive preset)
• Deadly lava takes up large parts of the landscape; traverse it with your very own platforms
• Lay claim to Charred Fortresses with two new Siege Machines
• New plantable Ashvines will grow on the walls of your base
• Combine your Flametal weapons with gems (Bloodstone, Iolite & Jade) in order to upgrade them to magical weapons (giving them blood, storm and nature based effects respectively)
• The waters in and around the Ashlands are boiling hot, and only the sturdiest of ships can sail them
